This event is held at the Saint Francis Center in Brant Beach. It consists of rides, amusements, games and more.
18 Mile Run
Early October
This yearly event is sponsored by the St. Francis Community Center in cooperation with the Jewish Community Center. The race begins at 10:30 in Holgate. The runners head north to Barnegat Light. You can watch at almost any point along the route. of course, the contestants are more spread out as you go further north. Traffic is stopped from crossing the Boulevard at times to allow for the runners. |

Chowderfest
Late September/Early October
The 2012 Chowderfest will be on Sunday, September 30, 2012
The annual Chowderfest is held at the Taylor Avenue Ballfield which is next to the Schooner's Wharf and Bay Village. Saturday is a "Merchant's Mart" and Sunday is the great Chowder cook off. There is an admission fee for the Chowder Tasting. This is a HUGE event so get your reservation early and arrive early
