At the very south end of Long Beach Island, in Holgate, there is a beach area for fishing and bathing. These activities are dependent on the condition of the beach and nesting birds. There is a small parking area (Free in 2018) along with restrooms. Bowker’s is a short walk if you want to grab something to eat.

Depending on the weather, you can usually get a good view of Atlantic City, the Little Egg Coast Guard Station and the old Fish Factory.
