Kapler’s Pharmacy in Beach Haven is a small local pharmacy. In the 1940’s they had an ice cream fountain. That is long gone.

The shelves and fixtures are old style. After Hurricane Sandy, the pharmacy, along with most other businesses, suffered extensive damage. I was told that the shelving was purchased from an apothecary shop that was out of business in Canada.  If you are on the south end of the island and need a prescription, a trip to Kaplers beats fighting traffic to get to the CVS.

  1. I remember the ice cream fountain! Biggest treat after dinner was stopping by for a cone if “fresh peach” ice cream.
