Kelley’s Old Barney restaurant is one of my favorites when visiting Barnegat Light.
Kelley’s is offering outside dining behind the restaurant. If you get the right seats, you can get a great view of the Barnegat Lighthouse.
The restaurant is located adjacent to the Barnegat Light State Park. Things have not changed much since perhaps the 1950’s. There is a counter and regular seating. As I recall, it is cash only. Desert is available next door at the Dairy Queen although the lines for the DQ can be 15 deep. As of 2017, they didn’t have air conditioning, just ceiling fans which, on most days, is OK. It’s a nice change from the chain fast food restaurants.
