July 2020 update – The Covid-19 restrictions are preventing outdoor dining. The Marlin is closed as of July 8th but you can get pizza, sandwiches and seafood at the Triton restaurant next door while The Marlin rebuilds their sidewalk for outdoor dining.

The Marlin is a restaurant and bar in Beach Haven.

Covid-19 and outdoor dining

The Marlin is currently serving meals next door at the Triton. The Triton is a craft beer and Oyster Bar. Seating is VERY limited with two larger tables out front and several smaller tables under the side porch

The Marlin is reconstructing the sidewalk to accommodate outside dining. As of July 3rd, they were just getting started.

The Marlin

The Marlin is a restaurant and upscale nightclub with reasonably priced seafood, burgers, steaks and pasta.  They occasionally have a grilled lobster special that is fantastic.

Prior to 2020, they had live music in the bar on most nights.

The Marlin was previously Joe Bossard’s The Village Pub.

  1. I took my family out to eat on July 5th and it was a bit of a mess servicewise.
There was a bit of a disorganized vibe from the start
i with the hostess. I was told there would be a half hour wait. Over an hour later, after buying drinks and entertaining the kids, we finally got a table
Drinks came in good time as welll as the appetizer but the wait for 4 simple entrees was ridiculous. The waiter, Fred, was personable and attentive but spent much of his time apologizing for the delay. Everyone got grumpy waiting for the food. These meals should be able to he made in 20 minutes.
I walked into The Marlin at 7:15pm and left at roughly 10:15pm at we spent 25 minutes actually eating. The food itself is pretty good actually but C’mon Man.
