LBI has a wide range of wildlife. If you keep your eyes open, you will see cranes, egrets, pelicans, turtles, dolphins, piping plovers, horseshoe crabs and much more. There are occasional sightings of foxes.

If you look in the shallow bay waters, you will occasionally see a Horseshoe crab. If you think they look weird, consider that they have been around for over 450 million years.
